I am interested in the power of essential beauty. In each Painting and Drawing, the sensibilities of nuanced color, touch and quiet space compel me.  The purity and harmony of nature inspire me, particularly the freshness of air, water and sunlight, and the character of gentle, peaceful animals.

I thrive on editing and reworking a piece until I feel a sense of harmony...the ideas of my heart and soul marrying with the essence of the image on the page.

Some artistic inspirations are Modern and Renaissance Masters, Rothko, Matisse, Da Vinci and Fra Angelico. I am also drawn to the simplicity of Japanese prints and the truth of heart in children's art.
